BENJAMIN FRANKLIN
“A DECLARATION”

‘THE FIRST THING I SEE is a person with little round glasses sitting at an old wooden desk, and he’s winking at me. Now he is pointing toward the corner of the room and asks, “Look, do you see that?”
I see an old-style, wood-burning stove.
“Do you know what that is?” he is asking me.
I’m answering mentally, “I believe it is called a Ben Franklin.
Stove.” He is nodding and seems to get a kick out of me using his name to identify it.
Now he begins to unroll an old, large parchment on the desk. In large letters, I see the word ‘Declaration,’ and realize he is showing me the Declaration of Independence. But then he crosses off the word ‘Independence’ with a large white quill pen and replaces it with the word ‘Unity.’ He says it is now time to call it ‘The Declaration of Unity.’
He now draws my attention to the line that says, ‘…all men are created equal.’ He is crossing out ‘men’ and says firmly: “All beings are created equal.” He continues and is showing me on the document where it mentions that we are given ‘certain unalienable rights.
Mr. Franklin crosses off the word ‘rights’ and replaces it with the word‘gifts.’ “What you may not realize is that this declaration is a document based on the Unity of the Universe, not just your world. You are united with all beings far beyond the earthly plane. Do not limit yourself or make yourself smaller than you are. Do you see that with just a few changes this document changes your old beliefs?”
Now he is bringing out another parchment and I can see the words ‘We the People.’ Now he is crossing off the word ‘We’ and writes in ‘You – You the People.’
Moving next to the words ‘of the United States,’ which he crosses off and replaces with the phrase, ‘are of the Universe.’
Now I am seeing the American Flag but it only has one star. Oh wow! Now that one star is bursting into millions of stars.
Now I see him sitting back, pulling on his vest and looking pleased as he lights his pipe. I’m asking him if there is anything else he wants to add?
He says, “Now let’s get to work.”
He’s gone.’
SUMMARY
You could have knocked me over with a quill pen! Never in my wildest imagination did I expect Benjamin Franklin to not only make his presence known, but also to speak with and through me. It was an honor and such a remarkable way to introduce meto my new phase of spiritual work: channeling renowned figures from the past. The message itself was extraordinary, so let’s break it down together.
The first image I received was of a man sitting at a wooden desk, wearing glasses, and pointing to a metal stove. These details identify the man: Benjamin Franklin invented bifocals, which he called ‘double spectacles,’ he also invented the Franklin Stove in 1742 to distribute heat more efficiently; and there is even a Benjamin Franklin desk modeled after the one he owned, which is displayed in Independence Hall in Philadelphia.
Next, he introduced the documents, beginning with The Declaration of Independence. Franklin was part of the ‘Committee of Five’ responsible for drafting it, and he was a signatory. While he did not write the United States Constitution, Franklin contributed behind the scenes and, at age 81, was also a signatory. He knows these documents and the importance of their words.
Now, he edited them before me to give a spiritua message: changing ‘We the People’ to ‘You the People’ to offer a spiritual message and’ to remind us that spiritual development is an individual responsibility. He also reminds us that “All beings are created equal,” emphasizing that no one or thing is less than or greater than another.
Finally, with the addition of the words ‘of the Universe,’ Benjamin Franklin encourages us to recognize our shared equality and responsibility, raise our awareness to a universal level, and engage in our spiritual growth and connections that extend beyond our world.
There was a lot packed into this session but what a way to begin. Benjamin Franklin will visit again. The reasons why a Spirit contacts me is still unfolding . For Franklin, it could be that he has been a Guide for one of the circle’s mediums before, or because he was born on January 17, 1706, and since we meet weekly January 13 is the closest to his birthday. We will discover more about the reasons when Spirits appear as you read further.
